Segway GT1 real world Range test!

But....can you get 70km/ 44 miles range like Segway says!!?! Follow along and find out while I ride from Seattle's Capitol Hill station to Mercer Island...and back. Weighing in at 100kg / 220LB I'm definitely heavier than the average rider. On this ride its Colllddd 50F/10C, and some chunky hills, which take a toll on my battery life.

Here's my take on the Segway GT1 superscooter. A superfun scooter to get around on, with amazing handling and speed. Leave a like and sub, and enjoy the video! Leave a comment if you have questions. Remember to get the GT1 on sale, it's been available for $1549 from Segway.com. Unfortunately I didn't get the acceleration timed in the video.

My friend recommended to get the Inokim Ox super but i'm looking at this one. I live in Australia and there is a currently sale for the P100S for around $1000USD. Should i go for it?

I would just get it directly from Segway to be safe that it will fit when I bought it. I think I got a few of them for under 10 bucks.

@@EthanClansky And yet if you go to the Tesla page and order one right now it says you will have it this month. Tesla is going to lose a very large lawsuit for deceptive advertising if a class action ever is filed. I wish they were better at this sort of thing.

Trigger clamps. I used dewalt. you need some medium duty ones at least that give a lot of pressure

Still not enough. Tesla should have upped the HP to 600HP. And still no driver display or bird’s eye camera view?? Huge disappointments.
600mph isn’t gonna make that big of a difference and isn’t possible with 2 motors. Nobody who owns a tesla wants a heads up display
I love the driver display on my model S so having that on the performance would’ve been gold

Best way to test this is both circling in SLU at 4PM, and going down SR99 in one go. You'll get more range riding slower, but your regen should capture a few more percent as well. My commute is less than 4 miles, and I lose half my battery if I crank it, especially because there are 10+ intersections and 10+ crosswalks I have to slow down for.
There are body kit with new style tire for sale available. It looks unbelievable cool with kit .

I got a G2 max the other day, I think it's pretty nimble. But I was actually conflicted between the G2 max and the GT1. G2 max happened to be local enough for me to go buy it and take home without waiting for shipping, so that was my deciding factor. But I definitely want a super scooter now.
I have both and love them for different use cases. The G2 max is undisputably easier to carry around get on public transportation , but the GT1 will strap you to a rocket

I have a 21 standard range+ RWD and even with its ‘measely’ 300hp or so, it’s plenty quick enough for daily driving. The instant torque is a total game changer. The performance must be a wild experience. The Plaid models I can’t even fathom…1,020 hp
@@DeetroiterI’ve seen a plaid hit WOT on highway with my own eyes, we were side by side going about 65-70 & just seeing that car pull ahead the way it did was legit crazy I can only imagine the g forces being inside. That shit really messes with your brain how fast it just LEAVES.

Nice ride. How do you find the suspension on the GT1 vs. the P100? I'm sure it is more plush, but wondering how much of a difference you notice since the GT series is adjustable and P100 suspension is not? I am getting the P100s as my beater commuter/ bad weather driver. My P65 is my daily commuter, but lack of suspension can be rough, no pun intended. My GT2 reserved for fair weather Sunday driving. LOL
GT1 shocks have really good dampening because they are hydraulic shocks compared to just springs on the P100. But they will definitely make a big difference versus nothing on p65. Another consideration is the P100 ride height is much higher than the P65 which I’m not a fan of.

Different beast than the GTR for sure, but nonetheless plenty of power and four-wheel-drive!

@@jonhaze7537I had no idea the RS3’s were so fast man. Holy crap. Watched a few videos on them before pulling the trigger on the Tesla. Wow they are quick. I’m just not the biggest fan of Audi. I’m sure they are great for most people but I have had 2 and both experiences were…. unsatisfactory 😂
